About the CD
Mare Edstrom's debut album, Learning How To Believe. Mare will move you with her incredible emotional depth. This album blurs the boundaries of the contemporary singer/songwriter style and intelligent pop. Many guest artists appear with Mare from the Spiritone cast along with notable Texan, Eric Taylor.
What's the biggest surprise on the album?
It has to be the duet with Eric Taylor. When Mare and Kenn chose the Eric Taylor tune, "Strong Enough for Two (listen)," they never even imagined having him sing on the album. It was a special day when Eric joined Mare and Kenn in the studio. That evening Mare joined Eric Taylor on stage at the Cafe Carpe for a special live performance of "Strong Enough for Two.
What's on the solo album?
Mare wrote much of the music on the album in collaboration with Kenn Fox. It also features songs written by Eric Taylor, Townes Van Zandt, Kris Delmhorst, Trish Murphy, Greg Brown and Janis Ian.
Mare and Kenn put together a band of talented artists that will be familar to Spiritone fans. Kenn takes on multiple roles including producer, arranger and primary insturmentalist.
Also involved are:
