Guardian opens with the first ever original composition by Mare Edstrom released on Spiritone Records, the moving "Holy One of Israel," accompanied masterfully by Producer Kenn Fox on acoustic guitar.

"Silent Night" appears next, as originally played the night it was first written, with a single guitar accompanying the composer's own voice... except here it is Fox's exceptional instrumental artistry and Edstrom's sweet, lyric mezzo-soprano.

The EP continues in this same simple, pristine style, with Kenn's own solo composition, which is the title track, followed by Mare accompanying herself with piano on the haunting "Some Children See Him."

After two more lovely Traditional Christmas tracks, Mare wraps up the album with a breathtaking, a capella rendition of the African-American Spiritual-style masterpiece, "Sweet Little Jesus Boy."
